DJ Sta Lo grew up around the streets of Little Rock, and as a youth spent a lot of time as a regular at Soul Brothers' Record Shop, owned by Tim's dad. Sta Lo spent countless hours soaking up the grooves playing over those speakers, and soon decided to try his hand at spinning, often DJaying parties around the neighborhood.

Then came breakbeats!

He grew to love the rawness that breakbeats provided and soon turned his attention to creating and producing tracks.

DJ Sta Lo has managed to harness his sound, and has taken his abilities to the stage, allowing Afrodesia to soar to new heights in music whenever he appears.

To this day, you can find Sta-Lo at any given time up "in the cut" coming up with unique sounds on his two turntables and trusty MP2000!
